I have to say it man, if the comics version of Galactus saw the sorry state of his followers in MCOC, he might instantly retire off of regret

Why did Kabam take a horrendous approach to such powerful characters and turn them into duds ?

Silver Surfer is all right but nowhere near worthy of his name and fame

Terrax is an ABSOLUTE offensive dud and borderline unplayable

And now.. CCP embargo is out and turns out Air Walker is also a character with zero utility, boring and non rewarding rampup and a super clunky playstyle... And he's also built for mostly defense...

What is the approach behind taking powerhouse characters from the comics and butchering them in-game by making them strictly defensive characters ?

With the way kabam has treated heralds of galactus, don't worry us fans will get Cosmic Ghost Rider and Firelord eventually but don't expect them to be nothing more than a AW defense placement and an occasional champ to play quest just for "fun"

Kabam's approach to champ making sometimes puts me on a loop

How can the same team make CMM, a champ with amazing and easy rampup and ridiculous burst damage and then make Air Walker, a herald and give him a terrible ramp-up of 2 whole fights and then even after his ramp-up, his damage doesn't even match half of what CMM, Corvus and Hyperion dish out ? 😂😭

Surfer isn’t bad, I wouldn’t be opposed to a slight buff, but terrax and air walker just seem horrific, terrax is pretty worthless on offence and has fallen out of the defence meta a bit, air walker seems like a defender, unless literally every gameplay vid on him missed something he also seems to suck, last time we had a truly great cosmic added was cmm I think, kinda sad to go 18 months without a great cosmic

I mean they can't make every champ like cmm or hype. but yeah this year's champs are definitely not as good
Heralds of Galactus should be able to pack a punch at least and have little bits of utility from their power cosmic that would give them some use in endgame contents. Surfer is an exception though because all he really needs is some thicker skin to match his armor rating if you know what I mean.

It has been a fallow year for champs to be fair and I’d argue that Cosmic is the weakest class by some distance - only 3 champs I’d R3 at the moment - CMM, CG and probably Venom - I have no interest in prestige so Surfer is off the menu.

It looks like they’ve experimented a lot with champion mechanic design this year in Terrax, Tigra and Air Walker and sadly they’ve not really delivered.

While I appreciate that just because a character is a cosmic powerhouse (in comic book terms) they can’t have equivalent power levels or the likes of the MCU avengers would get zapped in a puff of smoke and each time Kabam went to space for their characters a new meta defining champion would probably end up being created but it would be nice if there was a hint of their potential outside of the Contest.

Tigra is actually pretty nice. She shuts down buffs and can dish out some decent damage. I love the miss mechanic for her too. She's next on the list for my r5 squad.
