Well I was gonna try the show up event but nah, annoucement implied an easier challenge than showdown. I’m sure I could get it down eventually but for 3k 5* shards? Nah.

Unfortunately you didn't read the announcement post of this event well enough. It clearly stated that show up difficulty would NOT be a part of the tournament, but showdown difficulty would be. Please read the announcements before making posts like this because you're just going to confuse others. Show up difficulty is NOT affiliated with the tournament.

This is the SHOWUP DIFFICULTY not the showdown DIFFICULTY. There's no tournament part in the show up part.

People just had higher expectives or hopes about it.

Not saying is easy, because it sure is hard. Is the intention behind it. I was able to almost one-shot him, and I'm confident that I will succed in doing it at some point

Huh? Use your common sense big guy. You don't have to defend Kabam about literally everything. This is not about having the skills or roster, it's about common sense. What kind of common sense goes into making a 1.4 million health Silver Surfer with insanely niche nodes (need a consistent armor breaker or coldsnap immune) AND you can only use 4 star champions. 4 STAR CHAMPIONS. It's optional. You don't have to do it. They made a challenging quest to make us think outside the box. It's free to try and you can attempt it as much as you want. I tried it and after a couple attempts, for sure not going to waste my time on it. They said all along that this was supposed to be a very hard challenge.

Then make the rewards worth the effort. It should not be this hard for the SHOW UP difficulty. No one is going to show up unless they already spend thousands on the game.

Test of skill ? You have to be joking. You need the perfect counter. No matter what you do the health pool is going to take you so long with the lower damage that 4 stars do makes this frustrating to say the least. The challenge is supposed to be something that can be won eventually without spending units or resources. This is not a challenge it’s a slap in the face for each and every person that plays this game. I understand there will be people that will complete this content but the limits to which you put on this are beyond reasonable for anyone. I won’t even begin to mention the rewards for such a monumental task for such minimal return. As a member of this community and this game I love to play so much. It’s saddening to see how you have missed the mark yet again Kabam. Summer of pain is the correct title. Time for me to take a sedative and sit the summer of pain out.

It is dissappointing to read this as me along with several other free to play players or less talented players were hyped to play the showup difficulty and earn the rewards. Gold becomes a scarce rescource for a free to play player and that 500k gold would have made a world of difference for me and many other players. Considering we had to wait an hour for this event to release, we were still looking forward to this event but we were greeted by a horrifying health pull and a few ridiculous nodes. Many of us would appreciate it if you could reduce the health to something like 190k hp.

This is nuts, I literally spent an hour staring at a white box waiting for the showdown, I then used up most of my gold to rank up my 4*'s , went in feeling pretty good. Came out getting destroyed by Silver Surfer in a minute. And if this is the easy difficulty then...
Thought this would be a more inclusive event.

The more i play these recent event the more I'm skeptical about the direction of the game in regard to the road map, hows this even fun or interactive, i really hope the next game Kabam release is not like this because i wouldn't even download it, Im watching seatin one of the top MCOC youtubers struggle with this so imagine regular everyday players which is 85 % of the player base, this is how u put the FU in fun.

A test of skill would be being able to bring whatever champ you want against him. You can’t. It’s not a test of skill. It’s a test of your roster and how much revives you have.

Isn’t that why they have the tournament then? Who isn’t going to be doing the tournament who would do the show up instead?

Who is this made for? There’s a giant difference between getting “a taste for how hard it would be” versus it being almost the exact same difficulty, for extremely laughable rewards.

The people who have the skill and ranked up a 4 star who could handle this WOULD ALREADY BE DOING THE TOURNAMENT. The show up should have been for those who couldn’t do that.

Whoever thought of this and designed it is very confused on who the player base is or who it was targeting. And clearly didn’t read the roadmap a month ago. I’m honestly kind of baffled at this and the responses from the moderators are only making it worse.

What a missed opportunity.

The part where it's available to everyone is just for fun. The real point to this whole thing is the actual tournament for the big prizes.

Okay, so I was mistaken. If I am to understand correctly, this is still on the same level. For fun means it's not being marked for the Tournament. Not that it would be easy.

I'm an endgame player. Everything is 100% and imo, this is not even worth it for anyone. 1.4 million health, with a coldsnap node and you restrict it only to 4 star champions? Also, what are the rewards? 3k 5* shards? Yeah, if it were like 7k. It would be worth it. Other then that, this was an utter waste of time. Just my opinion.

I have the skill to do it, I did it with venom and CAPIW, but it was not enjoyable. It was repetitive and boring

Seems like grandmaster fight was just an outlier in your game design

I was hyped and waited an hour after the promised time to get disappointed

Isn't that the true test of skill really? He's already said if you can armor break him, you don't have to worry about Coldsnap. Read the nodes and think outside the box.
