I'm not defending. I'm not even going to attempt it. I'm just telling you that there are other counters than just Coldsnap. Anyone with an armor break mechanic can be a counter as well as Coldsnap immune or reduced effectiveness.

It's a Tournament. It's supposed to be this way. Not a fun, little challenge. Everyone competing is in the Tournament. So, yes. It's meant to be this hard.

The way Showup difficultly was marketed and portrayed was kinda misleading and bad. It was portrayed as something for everyone, a bit challenging, but doable and rewarding without having to toss an unfathomable amount of revives, potions, boosts, and rank up materials for 4*s.

I mean get rid of that coldsnap at the very least so you can actually usd more options and lower health to around 500k and showup difficulty should be reasonable....

Coldsnap immune is not the only way to go. There's a much larger group of Champions that have access to Armor Break, and that ability does not activate when Armor Broken. I am definitely not the most skilled player here, but I found the most success with Medusa using the Karnak synergy. One heavy attack and that ability is finished for the whole fight.

Coldsnap immune is not the only way to go. There's a much larger group of Champions that have access to Armor Break, and that ability does not activate when Armor Broken. What about those who don't have medusa or don't have her ranked up. I really don't want to rank up 3x 4-Stars and spend about 300k gold on each just for this.

anyone bother with an armor break champ? If you don’t apply an armor break almost immediately you’ll lose a ton of health in the first few hits. Then you have to constantly keep applying armor break to avoid the cold snap. Will be far easier to use a cold snap immune champ and fight normally. Name an armor break champ that would out damage colossus

But it's not a challenge of skill. Either you have the champs to counter it or you don't, also, you are requiring players to waste resources on this event. Not only are 4* champs just not useful but they are locked out of end game content. Personally, I haven't ranked a 4* champion in months.
This event is extremely disappointing. Personally, I was expecting this to be like comic con, where you have access to every champ at max level, but instead, like everything in this game the spenders get a massive advantage.
A "test of skill" shouldn't be a test of what 4* champs you have or don't have and whether you have the extra resources to waste ranking them
Exactly, three weeks of hype wasted on spending up ur resources to attempt to defeat a nearly undefeatable champ for most players. And for what, 3k 5 star shards. Super disappointing IMO
It would have been fairer if you hadn't restricted it to 4 stars. Kinda trash, but at least fairer. Also, the block damage 4 stars take is a lot, thanks to a completely useless cashgrab mechanic in the game named "Challenger Rating."

with Medusa and Karnak, you get a permanent armor break on heavy. I got three coldsnaps on me. one from parry, and two for the heavy and I almost died lol.
I honestly don't see what the issue is. The initial post even said it would be like the showdown with a little bit of a difference but that it would still be similar to it. This is designed exactly how it was said and is a good way to even practice for the showdown id you are wanting to take a crack at it.

But it's NOT a test of skill. It rewards the deepest 4* roster... which players have had to ignore to build their 5* and 6* rosters.
A test of skill looks something like THIS: 1) The playing field would be evened on a beta server allowing all players access to every single 4*. 2) A progression of boss health. All players who 1-Shot a 250K Silver Surfer advance to face a 500K boss. Those who 1-Shot that boss advance to the 1 mil health boss. Etc etc.
This let's all players participate AND let's the cream rise to the top. It's not perfect, of course. Just an idea! 🤷♂️
