Show Up Difficulty Feedback [Title Edited for Clarity]

Is this a bug? Plus the annoying nodes AND 1.4 million health AND we can only bring 4 star champions?! What is going on? For only 3k 5* shards?/

Lol even if you go in with Medusa and Karnak, it still takes forever, and you have to basically play perfectly and not block or you’re taking chip damage because he’s a 5 star and you limited us to 4 stars. I’m not a noob by any means and I’ve tackled some hard content in this game, but I’ve tried to go in 3 times now and had my entire team wiped out before he’s under a million.

What a joke. This isn’t fun, it’s badly designed and it’s incredibly baffling that the moderators are arguing so vehemently that it’s doable for people who WANTED TO SHOW UP. No one would be upset if this was the actual tournament fight itself, because highly skilled players were already going to do that difficulty. The rewards are literally geared toward lesser developed players and rosters. This isn’t meant for everyone and isn’t just a challenge, it’s a badly designed badly advertised misstep by kabam in a year of them.

This honestly makes me not believe a WORD that was said in the roadmap. 3k five star shards is not the reward tier you give for a challenge like this. It doesn’t match. Period. Clearly you all didn’t think this one through and your development team isn’t talking to your advertising team or moderators enough, because you’re seeing tons of people saying the same thing on here and Reddit and YouTube. Why would anyone show up for that little compared to the skill and effort required? Make it make sense please.

It’s like kabam wants any goodwill they got from their announced changes wiped away. You’re actively trying to antagonize people and it’s really sad to see.

Or, if this is how you truly wanted this to go, a simple apology would suffice instead of gaslighting people into thinking they would be able to show up and at least have a chance at some small rewards. Hugely disappointed with this company today.

Huh? Use your common sense big guy. You don't have to defend Kabam about literally everything. This is not about having the skills or roster, it's about common sense. What kind of common sense goes into making a 1.4 million health Silver Surfer with insanely niche nodes (need a consistent armor breaker or coldsnap immune) AND you can only use 4 star champions. 4 STAR CHAMPIONS. The last time I've upgraded a 4 star champion was a long, long time ago. And all of this for 3k 5 star shards?! Pathetic.
It's optional. You don't have to do it. They made a challenging quest to make us think outside the box. It's free to try and you can attempt it as much as you want. I tried it and after a couple attempts, for sure not going to waste my time on it. They said all along that this was supposed to be a very hard challenge.
Think outside the box? In what way? Literally the only requirement for this fight is skill and a cold snap immune champ. Colossus is going to own the leaderboard since he’s the hardest hitting coldsnap immune champ.
Coldsnap immune is not the only way to go. There's a much larger group of Champions that have access to Armor Break, and that ability does not activate when Armor Broken. I am definitely not the most skilled player here, but I found the most success with Medusa using the Karnak synergy. One heavy attack and that ability is finished for the whole fight.

my comment wsa not directed at you, it was to someone who implied they needed medusa. There is a long list of champions that can inflict armor break, including some top tier damage dealers.

I don't think you guys know what "a taste of the difficulty" means. why would I rank up 4*, spend an hour and a stack of revives just to get 3k 5* shards?! this is clearly just a whale event even for the show up difficulty, only the top of the top, not people with actual skill, are gonna participate. NOT WORTH IT AT ALLL

How long have you been promoting and teasing this???? What a flop and disappointment, like most things Kabam these days.

The way Showup difficultly was marketed and portrayed was kinda misleading and bad. It was portrayed as something for everyone, a bit challenging, but doable and rewarding without having to toss an unfathomable amount of revives, potions, boosts, and rank up materials for 4*s.

The exact words were "This difficulty is just like the Showdown Difficulty with some key differences. You will be able to bring in a team of five Champions with the ability to use boosts and consumables. Scores completed in this difficulty will not be entered into the leaderboard and/or the official Summoner Showdown Tournament."

That said, I understand why people are upset. When we see content in-game, it's easy to view it as all the same. Every piece of content serving the same purpose, with it being account progression. That's not the case here. This is supplementary content that is a celebration of the Summoner Showdown and went live in a month that already has extra content like the Boss Rushes coming every week, and the Solo Objective tied to the Side Quest.

Regardless, I have made sure we've raised this sentiment to the team.

So i done it with sorcerer and dusa only i used to do 1.4mil but the show up is so much harder if ai dont bait when u want it and messes me up

When they said the summoner showdown, I expected something similar to the act 4 venom, but no. A stacked labyrinth fight aimed for average players. How does that work? And only 3 k 5 star shards? not worth.

Why should EVERY SINGLE CONTENT "supposed to be a challenge". The show up was marketed as "If you DON'T want to be a hardcore player and compete with everyone, you can atleast do this". No one was expecting you to throw a Labrynth fight that constantly coldsnaps you, with only 4 stars too!

The way I see it, people would not have ranked up that 4 star colossus, and Kabam saw it, and said, yknow what? Let's throw them 1.5 of a 5 star crystal, and they'll rank up that colossus that they CAN'T USE IN ACT 6 and use revives.

they never aimed it for average players, they never implied that. They stated it would be the same as the showdown with some differences, such as bringing a full team.

I honestly don't see what the issue is. The initial post even said it would be like the showdown with a little bit of a difference but that it would still be similar to it. This is designed exactly how it was said and is a good way to even practice for the showdown id you are wanting to take a crack at it.

That I'm not denying and I 100% would agree with you there. The rewards should be buffed to reflect the challenge. Im just saying that this challenge is basically what they said it woudl be. I won't lie, 100% was hoping for less health though and better rewards. These rewards are something I'd see on a boss rush not a first time ever big event for kabam

IMO an event like this should make every player feel included on Day 1 and let the highest skill players shine as it progresses.
I feel like this event will lose steam faster than last week's MROC video did.
No skin off my back tho. I'll watch from afar.

anyone bother with an armor break champ? If you don’t apply an armor break almost immediately you’ll lose a ton of health in the first few hits. Then you have to constantly keep applying armor break to avoid the cold snap. Will be far easier to use a cold snap immune champ and fight normally. Name an armor break champ that would out damage colossus
It's far easier to just not do it. Let the skilled players upload their videos on it later while you wallow in your salty tears.

Far from salty I was never going to participate in the showdown but for a measly 3k shards I wasn’t expecting an lol figh for the show up. It makes no sense to have the difficulties essentially the same with such a disparity in the rewards. I could do the fight with colossus easily surfer on his own is not a hard fight at all
