Why am I triggering Spite?

I am trying out the Omega Rush and facing Namor on the spite node. I am using Corvus and he has no glaive charges and no cruelty. He does have a purple icon that I can’t identify. I’m sure this will be obvious to some of you, but I can’t figure out what buff I’m triggering that is invoking spite. Thanks for your help!

    True Damage buff

    it's the purple icon. It's his true damage buff I believe.

    All correct. That's his True Damage buff, and will trigger spite the entire time. Only goes away if nullified or when he's knocked down.
