Should Sig lvl 50 Omega Red be taken up to rank 4?

Should I take my sig 50 Omega Red to rank 4? First off, I am not a suicide mastery user, but I plan on getting them as soon as I have the units for them. I have learnt how to play him, and I must say that I am a fan of his passive DOT, regen on demand, immunities, and the tentacle hit "no-damage-reflection" mechanic. I have recently finished act 5 and wish to start act 6 ASAP, and I know that he has a lot of great uses there. I have unawakened thing, VTD, longshot, gwenpool, the new black widow, storm pyramid x, tigra, surfer, and cull obsidian as 5 stars at different ranks also for the r4 promotion. What are your opinions on my current rank up situation? Do keep in mind that I am purely "free-to-play" and sig stones will be a shortage for me. From the summoner appreciation calendar I will be taking OR to sig 75, and with the number of 5 star sig stones in the side quest, he will soon be sig 80-85 or even 90 if I'm lucky.

Probably not worth it until you have suicides. Although I know plenty of people think he doesn’t need suicides to be great, I personally think he’s a different champion to use with and without suicides.

I have a maxed out 5* by the way, and I run full suicides. He’s amazing for just about everything.

hmmm, I understand what you mean, but suicides are a huge boost to omega, not his entire toolkit. By that I mean that he can still thrive without them. But yeah, death field at the start of every match would be great.

I’ve tried him without suicides on one of my alt accounts and where I don’t run suicides (yet), and he’s completely different.

On my main, I can get 30 spores on the opponent before the bleed debuff expires. Then I just parry heavy and watch the opponent melt, generally. On higher health pools, drop an sp2, to keep the spores at 30.

Nice! I understand that OR melts everything very fast with suicides, I am saying that OR without suicides is still useful in many situations compared to other champs. The point of my query was that is a low sig OR good enough for a r4 upgrade, since I will be getting suicides ASAP

In short, no, he is not worth the rank 4 until you get him at higher signature levels. I would say you should have him at, at least 100 sig levels before he becomes a good rank 4 option.

In that case I stand by my original response- no, not worth it. But that’s a personal opinion of course. Someone may well feel very differently.

I disagree. I don't run suicides but my OR still destroys content for me. Never timed out in AW or AQ. Sure it takes a bit longer but he's still worth it without suicides
