Black Widow (Deadly Origin) Appreciation Thread

I got her from the free side quest featured, and wasn’t all that excited. I remembered facing her was annoying in the red room quest in may, but I didn’t think she was an amazing champ. I WAS SO WRONG. She can stack tons of shocks, her SP2 does a ton of damage; and her 7 hit combo flows so well. I think she’s a top 3 skill behind Ægon and NF. If you think blade is better, come at me

People don't realize that the sabotage debuffs can stack... giving her up to 110% aar in a fight. She has some great utility and damage output that excels Blade's. Some may argue that Blade can have passive 40% aar at all times... well BWDO can do that as well without the need of mediums or villians. Let's not forget how great she performs again miss too! She's the best champion for countering miss that I know of.

Just his slow debuff, but it counters miss and is a better evade counter than BWDO's. Plus it counters unstoppable. And their damage output is comparable. So Stealthy takes the cake with more utility imo.

Just his slow debuff, but it counters miss and is a better evade counter than BWDO's. Plus it counters unstoppable. And their damage output is comparable. So Stealthy takes the cake with more utility imo.

Right... I almost forgot that Stealthy can counter miss too! Where BWDO is lacking in evade and unstoppable countering she does have the potential to make nodes and abilities affected by aar less of a pain too.

Guaranteed crits as well as an insane fury. Evade slow and miss counter. Reduce block proficiency and increase crit rating, auto evade and a somewhat small enervate. She's awesome, but don't get carried away

I get what you're saying but don't forget that BWDO has an evade too as well as counters miss and increases her crit rating greatly. If you've seen her damage output is not that far off from stealthy if the opponent can be shocked. It's not a wild comparison but I honestly think Elsa, Stealthy, and BWDO are very close to being the same level in the skill class. They all can do so much for you if you have the skills to use them effectively.

Happened to look at Seatin's Tier list (in a Sorcerer Supreme thread tonight), and why does he call her “Black Widow Movie” in his list ? (Similar to Cap Marvel Movie, which (or CMM) at least is what people here refer to CMM as).

Does anyone here actually refer to BWDO as BWM instead ? (Haven’t seen any other person reference that way). And what if Claire Voyant gets her own Movie in future (then both would be “Movie” ? lol)
And even though not her own dedicated movie, OG BW has been in several movies as that OG version of her already too.

I wish I could pull her. She is my most wanted champ in the whole game as a 6*. I have a skil t5cc, that I want to use on her. Or Aegon if I can dupe him. And regarding stealthy, he is overrated.

Well....I have a 6R2 black widows deadly origin (BWDO) and I played her quite a few, in the past....here is my thought on her:
She is really fun to play and her damage is decent (when shock debuff can be applied correctly). I would say, in a right scenario, that shock debuff make her damage just unbelievably great.

However, the restriction of this black widow is also from this almost-guaranteed Shock debuff:
First, you can’t deny that players need to think about the utilities of a champ before bringing this champ into a quest, particular endgame contents or monthly quest with Cavalier difficulty. When we are talking about a Skill champ, we usually talking about taking this skill champ to counter some annoying Science champs, like Human Torch, Thing, Electro, MODOK, Spidey, Void, Spider Gwen, Spider Mike Morales, Wasp, etc., or even more other non-Science Champs.

Then let’s see how BWDO against aforementioned Science Champs:
vs. Human Torch——She will instantly get red by HT’s incinerate debuff due to her Energy Damage with Shock debuff;
vs. Thing——Her damage is largely reduced because Thing is immune to Shock debuff;
vs. Electro——Her damage is also largely reduced because Electro won’t take any damage from Shock. Meanwhile, Electro gain power from the Shock debuff, making the scenario even worse;
vs. MODOK——well, just a common fight with class advantage, nothing special;
vs. Wasp/Spidey/Spider Gwen/Spider MM——same as MODOK, she is a Miss counter, but not an Evade counter;
vs. Void——Just like fighting other opponents who are not immune to shock. Her damage is decent, but this cannot make her become a priority for this fight as many other Skill champs can hit hard as she does, plus tons of other utilities.

Then, let’s compare BWDO with other top Skill champs (Nick Fury/Blade/Aegon/SS/Elsa Bloodstone/KillMonger), particularly for the fights I mentioned above:

vs. Thing: similarly, Blade and NF can “bleed” Thing (I know he is immune to bleed), making the rock stack “well-controlled”, which is also important to control the rhythm of fight; SS can apply Slow debuff on Thing, simply making Thing’s unstoppable vanished;

So, back to my statement in the very beginning: BWDO is fun to play. If you love this character, please rank her up and bring her to quest.....

In terms of overall ranking, putting her with Elsa Bloodstone and Killmonger in a same tier is reasonable. Sometime I even think Elsa Bloodstone is better than her.

Stealthy’s only utility is slow, but he’s better since he’s a skill and many champs who slow are science making it hard to use them against skill, also the miss counter is great for champs like Darkhawk, IW, Ebony Maw, and this month Professor X. Also with how quick he finishes fights health usually isn’t much of a problem. BWDO can still Kill in many fights, but is she better than Stealthy? Debatable but ima go stealth

He has that slow. And that is it. Granted, it is a good slow, but it also doesn’t work as well in fights without specials. I personally have 6* R2 Stealth. I literally NEVER use him. I don’t use him for his slow. And I have bigger damage dealers. So no reason to use him. Plus BWDO also counters slow. Plus he isn’t very fun, and doesn’t have health or block proficiency.

I know she can be a great option for certain right scenarios (against invisible woman/DarkHawk/G2099), but in general, those “right scenarios” are not quite common relatively speaking....which makes her failed to be a top seed to find a spot in a team for endgame contents.

That’s true, I just think that he is super squishy and I just really love people with DoT, so champs that melt others are really fun.

Then, let’s compare BWDO with other top Skill champs (Nick Fury/Blade/Aegon/SS/Elsa Bloodstone/KillMonger), particularly for the fights I mentioned above:
vs. Human Torch: Blade/NF can trigger Bleed debuff, making the duration of incinerate much shorter;
vs. Thing: similarly, Blade and NF can “bleed” Thing (I know he is immune to bleed), making the rock stack “well-controlled”, which is also important to control the rhythm of fight; SS can apply Slow debuff on Thing, simply making Thing’s unstoppable vanished;
vs. Electro: The danger sense of Blade (paired with GR) can reduced Ability Accuracy of Electro by 40%, making him have less chance to take damage from Electro’s Shock recoil; meanwhile, Blade’s danger sense almost double his attack rating, making the fight so easy; besides, even though Blade cannot 100% avoid Shock recoil from Electro, he has an insane regeneration if he is awakened.
vs. Wasp/Spider-Universe Champs: both NF and SS are great evade counter, period.
vs. Void/MODOK: similar to Electro fight, blade’s danger sense greatly boosts his attack rating.

Apart from fighting those Science champs, Blade’s danger sense makes him a top seed to against several annoying mystic champs like Magik, Dormammu and Mephisto; NF’s great synergies and “real NF phase” making him just decent for almost every quest team; Aegon with high combo# is the No.1 units-saver for long quest like LOL or Abyss, no doubt.

So, back to my statement in the very beginning: BWDO is fun to play. If you love this character, please rank her up and bring her to quest.....

Kinda makes sense, but you didn’t bring up any fights where she crushes it either. And Stealth lacks health, and utility other than slow. Can’t speak much on Killmonger. Blade is great with danger sense- which without synergies is like 7 fights. Not too sure about Elsa either, but I want to rank her soon.
Stealthy’s only utility is slow, but he’s better since he’s a skill and many champs who slow are science making it hard to use them against skill, also the miss counter is great for champs like Darkhawk, IW, Ebony Maw, and this month Professor X. Also with how quick he finishes fights health usually isn’t much of a problem. BWDO can still Kill in many fights, but is she better than Stealthy? Debatable but ima go stealth

I think she's a fun champ and I had a ton of resources to use up so decided to R5 her last night. Is she the best champ, no. But she's a ton of fun and I was looking for a useful fun champ and that's exactly what she is. No regrets on ranking her up.

I really like her current she is at r3 but I will R5 stealthy that I got yesterday before her,
She doesn't have any sustainable or reliable utility that's why she was considered 5th best skill champ, if kabam do some tune up in her ability then she can be top 2-3 skill champ because current she have only some solid damage output (if you know how to use her)
