Nova flames and diss track

So tried HT with pre-fight on the cavalier diss track lane and it didn’t seem to count. Is this a bug or a feature lol. Do he just need to stick to regular incinerate?

Thanks!

What do they count as then? @will-o-wisp i understand how diss track works just didn’t realize that nova didn’t “count” as a debuff (like quake’s don’t count either I guess).

buffs/debuffs are icons with a white boarder, it is different from passives (nova flames)

it's an incinerate affect, not a buff or debuff though. Someone who's immune to incinerate will be immune to nova flame, someone who's immune to debuffs will not be

I get that big picture but that seems strange in this situation as they cause major dot. Not arguing with you on the point just seems silly to me. @Lormif

So related ?, does nova flames trigger face me with Gulk then?

This is how the game is setup, it should be active vs passive buffs, but they just claim buffs/passive, it makes it more confusing than it needs to be, but has always been like that. And it should work with gulk

No one is immune to Nova Flame. They are NOT incinerate effects.
The problem is that people keep mistaking what the ability does with the ability name itself.
it doesnt help that it is an incinerate ability when it comes to HT, but only HT.

    Ghulk: Yes
Silly: Well, it really isn't. Its enhanced incinerates no one besides Ghulk are immune to or have any resistance to
Not quite - regular Energy Resistance will serve you well.

So, Bishop, Havok, and Guardian will all take substantially reduced damage from Nova Flames.

Havok will also start stacking Plasma Charges like crazy, which can be pretty bad for Human Torch, especially if Havok manages to land a Heavy attack.

Actually not true. Nova flames aren't actually incinerate which is why you can use them on Havok and iceman actually. They are a passive effect but do not count as incinerate even as passives
