Should I rank 3 an unduped 6-star Sentinel?

I got a tech t5cc after finishing a run for Abyss. My other choices are Mysterio, Ironman IW, and Doc Oc (all unduped). I'm thinking long-term here to prepare for Act 7 so would love to read your insights.

I only say yes if you genuinely like playing with Sentinel. He’s a fairly useful champ.

Alright OP, you asked for it... Where to start. I'm assuming prestige is not a factor here (and even if it was I would still recommend taking him to r3 unduped because hes just that good). When I first pulled 6* Sentinel I had everything needed to r3 him. I did it within 5 minutes of pulling him. I really love the 5* 5/65 that I have and could only imagine what the 6* r3 would do.

He far exceeded what I originally thought he would be able to do. He helped me quite a lot during exploration of act 6, he shreds AQ fights, and in AW it is nearly impossible to die unless someone has assigned you a really bad matchup (like perhaps a hazard shift node with a cosmic champ). I was in the act 7 beta, and although I did not get a lot of chances to test the content out it was fairly easy to tell just by reading nodes that he would be useful in much of the 7.1 content. If you are interested some MCoC youtubers have that content uploaded to their channels so you can see what it is like yourself.

For me though the most useful thing about Sentinel is how tanky he is. I bring my r3 to war 99.99% of the time and it is actually difficult to die. This most recent war I had a pretty annoying Domino fight that Sentinel steamrolled. Additionally I was on path 1 in section 2 and had DH, Mr Sinister and IMIW fights which he also walked over like it was nothing. I know a lot of people would take torch for that path in section 2 but I needed Sentinel for Domino and the rest of my team was full for taking the node 23 Korg and boss fight. Sentinel worked just as well as torch on this path. This is just one of many examples of his versatility. You can bring him and fill in so many holes on your team. There's honestly so much more I could say on him but this comment is already getting really long. Suffice to say I highly recommend him at r3. There is so little he can't do and so much that he can do, it would be a shame if you didn't take him to r3. Anyways, I hope this is helpful, and if you have any other questions let me know.

Oh I forgot to mention, I did manage to dupe my Sentinel after a few months of having him unduped. That is why he is duped in the video. However, during much of the time I was using him in act 6 he was unduped.

I have been testing him with Rol and 6.4 as a 6 star r1 and I'm pretty impressed at his utilities and the damage potential. He can deal incinerate and shock debuffs, heal block, armor break, etc. I like the fact that after you ramp up to 100 analysis it will stay permanent for the rest of the fight, unlike some champ for e.g Massacre where you need to build up again. He is also pretty tanky when you get to 100 analysis. The damage from sp2 is a neat factor here.

What I don't like about Sentinel so far is his low prestige, chunky animation, and somewhat long build up time. As you can see from the Doom fight, it takes roughly ~45 secs to build up to 100 analysis. Combining with his animation, it feels kind of sluggish to me when using him. He definitely is good for act 6 or probably act 7 contents where fights usually take longer due to larger health pools and opponents having a variety of nodes. But for normal questing where I want to finish fights quickly, he's not the first choice that I would be using. I would love to hear more from people who voted "No, wait for a better champ" on this.

There are two champs that I consider better than Sentinel right now, which are Ghost and Warlock. Ghost is number 1 no doubt about it. As for Warlock, I do not currently have him as a 5 or 6 star. From what I read online, it seems like Sentinel is more of a DPS guy and Warlock can is good with power control and passive heal reversal. You mentioned that Warlock is not a better Sentinel so I would really appreciate a comparison between these two.

Also, would you mind testing the average damage from SP2? How fast can he take down like for e.g a Winter Soldier in ROL?

It’s all because of this idea that he’s a lesser Warlock that got spread far and wide upon Warlock’s release.
