Magik's hit is whiffing after the sp2

I was exploring V5 today and i used Magik against 2.2 Storm. But saw something that i haven’t experienced this before, after hitting the sp2 i tried to hit Storm with light and medium attacks but both of them whiffed. This is the first time I'm seeing something like that. Am I doing it wrong?

Ah yes, I've seen this. It's only with storm, as she has a weird model where she gets up really slowly. It sucks. But Magik isn't broken, just mainly storm

Probably happens with surfer as well, he has one of the longest get up animations I’ve seen.

yeah I hate fighting him with magik for that reason
