I have a legit question that probably won't make it thru 2 posts before it's trolled to hell...
But how does everyone here rank up? Like what's ur theory behind ur roster?

For me (300+k, expert aq, tier 2 aw) I've always ranked for usefulness and pi. I got my best 11 to cover alliance stuff. Then switched focus to pi while slowly accumulating other op attackers and defenders to replace some of those original 11. The less useful/garbage 4*s sat at 3/30, but now I don't spend any resources on new 4*s unless there's a level up that needs some points. 5*s fall under the same usefulness requirements.

This diversity (which I feel is ridiculous) seems more geared toward collectors that aren't as interested in progression thru content.

    1. If the rank up uses resources I am overflowing with and/or can easily replace, I rank up no matter what the champion is. It is basically an automatic decision, because there's no reason not to.

    2. If the champion offers a game changing advantage when used as an attacker, I rank up.

    3. If the champion offers a significant material advantage that is likely to save me resources in the long run when running hard content, I rank up as long as I am not using resources that are so constrained they will be extremely difficult or impossible to replace.

    4. If the champion offers a significant advantage placed on defense and using the resources does not create a significant opportunity cost downstream - i.e. I'm saving for a future upgrade I might be able to perform later - then I rank up. Note: currently suspended for 15.0 AW.

    5. If none of those things are true, I sit on the champion and the resources until I change my mind and/or one of those things becomes true.

In other words, I rank up when I have to (expiring resources), it costs nothing really (i.e. new 3* champ), or the advantage of doing so will help me right now and it is too good to pass up. So I basically never regret rank ups.

Thanks for the replies. At least I don't feel like I'm crazy. I've been on hold since the war change as well, only ranking up offensive champs that were already planned rankings. I really don't plan on ranking "diverse" champs if I'm being honest. If something is expiring and I have no other option, maybe. But I see diversity ranking as a grave mistake if making your way thru content is a goal.

Some champs I rank up out of curiosity some I rank up for the raw power and some i rank up for a game mode

I rank whoever I feel like ranking. I look at what I have and pick one, I already have who I need at 4/40 waiting to get to 5/50, I ranked those based off of synergy and usefulness for AWD, i.e Spider-Man and Agent Venom. Then there's who I have best suited for the AWA, AQ, Story Mode, Event Quests. I rank up champs to substitute, my AQ and AW teams when they can't be used for questing. My B-Team if you will.

So everyone has a purposeful ranking strategy... Not a rank everyone cuz they're different/unique strategy.
