5* and 4* champs and Diversity

I am confused about how to properly navigate diversity for AWD. Is a 5* Spider-Man different than a 4* Spider-Man when it comes to diversity scoring? They are two different champs as far as many game modes are concerned. It would be great for many of us if they were considered different for diversity sake!?

    It needs to be 2 different characters meaning spiderman+spiderman=1 but something like symbiote spidey+regular spidey=2 as far as ive been told
