Leaving during AW

If you leave your alliance after you place defense in the middle of aw, does anything bad happen to your account? Just wondering

    Your champs will remain locked up until the war is over, but that's the only thing that will happen.

    I mean, you should reserve that kind of extreme judgment for if he takes up the spot, only places one defender, it’s a 1 star defender, and a dupe of defender already placed.
