We Need Clarification on The Coming Gifting Event

So what's happening ! .
1. will we be eligible to the event rewards/rank if we move to another alliance and we finish the 14 days period with ( event time included ) means we can have our rewards as fast as it ends ..
so no points for alliance event until that period is over but after we can then gift and score points towards the event ?
it's seems yes but we will need some sort of clarification on this since everyone is saying it is impossible
