Why do you think it's a failure? Because people want it and don't have it? That used to be called motivation lol
It was rushed out MONTHS before it was planned and I absolutely 100% believe it was so they could create a different set of deals for cyber Monday. Otherwise they would’ve had to milk the whales who would still be cavalier, but this would essentially give lower Cav players a free ride to a r3. I mean there was 75% of a full t5cc selector in the offers lol
This doesn't make sense. If Kabam's goal was to milk whales, why wouldn't they want Cav's included in that as well? Plus, why would Kabam care if a player has an opportunity to get a R3 through deals? How does that hurt them? Most anyone who can hang in Map 7 or do a path in abyss can become TB, newly Cav or not.
When TB was announced, it was made very clear that they are releasing this title now, because they are not creating highly difficult content in book 2. This title was going to be tied into book 2 somewhere in like the first or 2nd chapter. The requirements were going to be higher as well but because of the nerfs to Act 6 and the lowering of the difficulty, the title came out before they planned. It had zero to do with the deals.
Did they rush it? I don't think they did. They even pushed it back a week later than planned too. There just wasn't any point in holding the title back with the difficulty lowered.
You did see the Cav offers, correct? It is nothing but obvious they care about whether Cav players can obtain a r3 through deals.
You see what you said about it releasing now because Book 2 being easier than planned doesn’t make sense to me. They tied roster progression into this title for the first time, so the content progression only partly matters. They could’ve still left it at 7.2 completion or exploration and had it 3-5 rank 3’s. The story completion wouldn’t have been as difficult but Act 6 completion isn’t as difficult anymore either
All thronebreakers before cyber weekend managed to get an r3 without the offers. That means it’s 100% possible. Work on it like all other thronebreakers did.

OP is TB
My mistake. I take it back, I think I replied to the wrong comment lol

Ive already posted why but I suppose I’ll save you some time...

Also, the requirements were so poorly determined that they made it seem so easily attainable by any Cav player even those who are clearly not ready. Of course that’s along the same lines as they made it MUCH easier to obtain that originally planned. They rolled out this new title with very minimal features. Just seems to be very poorly planned out and executed....because once again THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS
How do you know it was rushed out? Uncollected also had minimal features when it came out. In the original announcement it was stated that there would be more benefits to being uncollected down the road, which there were. How is this any different? If the way in which this is a failure is largely because the requirements were poorly determined, how is this not a complaint about the requirements? How does a R3 6* seem easily attainable to Cav players who have no t5cc and no easy way of getting one?
It's a title. Given time anyone can achieve this title. The key word is time. Some don't wanna wait. "I should have it when I want it" is the epitomy of entitlement. Well, rng is a fickle mistress. If a player does nothing to minimize its impact...well that is on them.
The requirements of only one r3 six star creates this illusion that makes people think they are much closer than they are. If you do not have a good candidate to r3, odds are pretty good you do not have a deep roster. Or, if you are struggling to obtain t5cc you're 'prolly not running map 7 or high tier war. Both are on players. Put yourself in the best position to succeed rather than rely upon rng. Don't tempt fate.
Every instance I have seen involves people with 18 six stars or some other absurd low amount. Or 3 6 stars in a given class type complaining that they have no good options to rank up. Well, duh, you didn't have a lot to choose from. Why would someone bother to try to tackle content to obtain resources they have NO ONE to use it on? They complain of rng, yet take no steps to minimize it. That is wholly on the player, full stop.
You should already have options to use the resource on prior to accumulating that rare resource. Let me spell that out for you, don't run abyss if you don't already possess someone to use the resources on. And if you do (which is fine) don't complain about rng. You went into it with your eyes wide open, rolled the dice and came up craps. It happens. Be a big boy/girl and accept it with grace. Over time, your roster depth will grow and you will have someone to r3. Plus, as with all resources, as the game moves on the scarcity changes, and we all chase the next rare resource. Such is the rat race.
The only failure I've seen involves impatient players wanting to keep up with the Jones' and whining incessantly about their own poor roster management.
You lost me on i don't know how to manage my roster better mate.
33 6* with 5 duped 1 is lvl 60 all natural. 8 are now r2 still got resources for 1 more
12 r5 and gems for 2 more (tech and skill meh I'll get around to it)
19 r4 tons of resources in overflow
I can see the no map 7 but will you let me in your allaince? Completion i score on avg 100k, arena about 50k but I have an 8 hr block that I can absolutely sit and grind the whole time but other than that window I'm gone. Kinda a flaw in the game that 8hrs a day isn't enough but so be it I'm happy with what I get.
Why should I have to r3 daredevil or Kingpin to get the offers that were already proven to be there. I have an option and multiple in every single class bar 1.
Tbf I don't want to keep up with the big boys just don't want my years of work to be rolled back to irrelevant in one move and cyber weekend for cavalier was just that.
How do you only have 12 r5 champions? Your priorities are wrong.
How so. My r5 are domino, col, omega, torch, blade, stark, fury, guillotine 2099, glaive, movie marvel, capiw and claire. Who else do I need? No content can stop a combo of them so I focused to future with my 6*.

I have 59 6*; 8 6* R3 champs, I have 26 R5 5* champs I had 20 R5s before my first R3.
I have never been in a map 7 ally. In fact I play in no ally. If you played in a 6x5 ally I imagine 6 of your R5s are already taken up for AWD . You combine that with 3 in AQ. You have no depth. I agree with the comment of priorities are jacked up. You are focusing on taking one champ up instead of the two 5/65 you could get from one R2.
However , I get it. 6* champs are shiny and look better , if you are a big spender I imagine you can can get to TB and buy your roster with the new deals etc. But From experience I can tell you there aren’t many 6* that will push you to the next level.

I'm not asking for that my spending is minimal I'm explored up to 6.4.2 as of now. My depth is just fine. R4 are definitely viable in act 6 as I'm doing it now certain lanes i pull out that r4 and did my run through pre nerf. 6* I did champs like void and supreme. I look at my whole roster. I can make lower ranks work. There is 0 content my r5 and r4 selection cannot do. Abyss would be hard as I don't have aegon but not undoable
The issue is what they did to the cavalier title. We've come to expect rightfully or wrongfully that all other in-game resources depreciate in time relative to the in-game unit currency over time. e.g. Shards cost less units over time, catalysts cost less units over time.
I understand that the relative value of resources diminish as you progress. e.g. the value of 5* shards is different at each progression level due to the impact on your ability to complete content.
Kabam are trying to apply a "correction" to cavaliers so that they can create separation in value between cavalier and thronebreaker.
Overnight they slashed the value of units to resources for cavaliers. Whether it was a poor calculation or an ongoing valuation remains to be seen, but at the very least for many cavalier players it's seen as an overcorrection.
Imagine you are a member of a coffee shop. Your gold membership grants you one regular drink each month. You show up for your drink and they say... we just released platinum membership, so now you are only entitled to a small drink and platinum gets a large drink. Wait what? Why does this new level mean that I get less?

Most people I know that were TB technically before the title existed have over 20 R5s. I think I have 35. I think that's why we're seeing a lot of people upset with the requirements not doing things like map 7 as well. Some of them just don't have the depth of roster to cover it.

Ghost was never needed just a nicety I don't have. If I waited for her I would still have done 0% of act 6 but I have an r5 gem for her just in case. I did my run through pre and explored only 6.1 prenerf but all variants are done. Quake is r4 for me. I can use her but she stresses me out, especially when I can just use cap and some syn and next. I see no need to rank 5 her as the couple of niche times I use her r4 is good enough 5 only saves a little time. Void is one of my r2 6. I don't have doom but my r5 claire or r2 6 sym supreme are just fine. Other options beat content is all I'm saying probably didn't get it out right. I have an r5 gem skill for aegon and an awakening and sig stones to get 200 hundred dupe. I'll get him eventually.
All of this truly doesn't matter for anything though. Anyone saying I should hold resource x for champ y then say r3 any old 6 for a title has to see the irony in that logic.
Depth like I said is a non issue to me. Let's say aq takes 3, aw takes 8 that is 11 champs. With my roster that is still 1 more r5 and 7 r2 6 for content. Without factoring in r4 and r1 6. What content needs more than that. Maybe a niche fight needs someone in particular but I can bypass that lane till anything is done and just do that lane. Roster and time management isn't that hard.

Most people I know that were TB technically before the title existed have over 20 R5s. I think I have 35. I think that's why we're seeing a lot of people upset with the requirements not doing things like map 7 as well. Some of them just don't have the depth of roster to cover it.
Exactly, I imagine if we asked those complaining about TB to show their rosters , we would see something similar. 12 R5 champions and complaining about no 6* to rank. No depth to hardly cover a map 6 ally or platinum 3/4 war ally. I also wonder how many are actually completing cavalier relatively easy. This also makes me wonder how many are using 5/65 champs to get through 6.1-6.3 and still struggling.
It's a title. Given time anyone can achieve this title. The key word is time. Some don't wanna wait. "I should have it when I want it" is the epitomy of entitlement. Well, rng is a fickle mistress. If a player does nothing to minimize its impact...well that is on them.

Me 12 r5 and 7 r2 6 and cav no items including 4* challenge. And today I'll finish my exploration of 6.4.2 (crit me and vitality rush lanes) that leaves 4 maps to go.
Different time when you guys did it you didn't have to rank up any old one with no pressing need to. You could sit and wait. You didn't have to worry about 100 act 6 and that nexus has say ghost or mascre and you have to pick mascre (I just chose him as I would r3 him cause he is good but nowhere in ghosts league).
I like this analogy. Sticking with your same analogy I would argue it’s more like this:
You are a gold member of a coffee shop, the coffee shop gives you one free drink a month for the same membership fee however you only get coffee once a month and thus don’t earn any rewards points.
There is another gold member who also accumulates points from this coffee shop because they consume their coffee almost daily, and employees knows them by name.
Coffee company starts to realize that they want to reward members with free coffee beans once a month and free mugs and special drinks. They are rewarding all gold members currently . But it’s the other Gold member who shows up every day that allows them to give out free stuff. They can’t do that because it’s costly.
They create a platinum membership and you have to earn x amount of points to get upgraded. The platinum coffee members are now upgraded and enjoying the benefits. The gold members are complaining because they feel they should have earned the free mugs as well. In reality, they benefited from the coffee people who went every day. The coffee company found a way to reward those who were more frequent.
They still get their free coffee a month, just not the mugs and coffee beans. If they want the extra stuff they should earn more points.
The issue is what they did to the cavalier title. We've come to expect rightfully or wrongfully that all other in-game resources depreciate in time relative to the in-game unit currency over time. e.g. Shards cost less units over time, catalysts cost less units over time.

I would be entirely happy of that held true. Cyber deals are what happened though. If I didn't get down graded so much from July 4th I honestly wouldn't care about TB.
Coffee shop now went from free bag of beans a month to 1 bean a month.

Oh tb should get more than cav but cav shouldn't go backwards.
I can understand how you got a taste of the finer things in life and have it pulled away. Think of it like your parents cutting you off. You may be on some top ramen and hotdogs for a bit , but it will push you to be better.
