Duel Credits- why were they removed?

Why were duel credits removed from the game for end game players?

I had mine randomly get refreshed recently. Not sure why. Of course I have used them up already....

A new duel system where you can choose to put a certain number of nodes onto a champ from a pool of nodes and duel them would be awesome. I'm often looking at war trying to plan out how a fight will go but unsure of the best strategy against a certain node. Being able to duel with nodes on would be awesome. Could be limited to x number of times like duel credits but I doubt Kabam will do this or consider this at all.

The better question is why are we limited on duels at all? With the new duel targets that Kabam is promoting, why not do something to improve how we engage with the system rather than do something like take away the credits?

Think its because you can earn a lot more bc from duels than arena, and without cooldowns so theoretically you could farm duels with say 6* r3 corvus vs 6* howard
It gives the same amount of gold and BC’s. The only difference between duel and arena is that there is no gold cost for entry for duels. If that’s really that big a concern (doubtful), then keep the free 5 duel entries per day and add duel credits to the store at the cost of 25/50 gold each.

It is 200 BCs for every duel win against a 6*. Way more than arena

Make it the same if that’s the case. That would be the stupidest justification to not improve the system.

Way more is also a bit of an exaggeration.

You get 100 for a fight in arena. That is double in duels for fights you get to choose with champs you get to choose.

You get 60 for winning the fight and then another 100 at the end of the series for a 6* fight in arena. So there is a 40 BC difference. Fairly negligible imo.

Agree with the poster above though that rewards could just be done away with completely as this is primarily just meant to be a practice mode and not a way to gain resources.
