Gifting event, could it be bugged

After joining the alliance recently (less then a week). I have noticed after gifting I have not contributed any points to the alliance gifting total. Is this normal? I know that I can’t claim but contribute?

ALLIANCE GIFTING
IMPORTANT:
- Users must be a member of their alliance for 14 days before they can contribute points towards the event or claim rewards.

Will the early trades I have already done count once the timer ends?

I didn't get the gifting badge. I don't know if its because I'm level 15. Please fix this issue soon
