Should I use generic ag on 5 star Hyperion?

I got him yesterday from dual class crystal,I am sure he will help me with getting cavalier. But not sure if I should use generic on him because I don't really know how he works.

I did and he carried me to cavelier . With the help of him an BWCV i got cav at like lvl 46 just bc of those 2 basically. And as far as he works. Parry heavy a few times an hit them with a sp2.
