This is just a theory but maybe Kabam have 'favourites'.

Probably similar to when people got Monthly Stat emails.
Not everyone would get them (in fact I think it was a rather small pool), and I think (?) that one way to start getting them was to send a Support Ticket to Kabam asking to be included in those Stat Mailings.

As to “favorites”, been playing since first full year of game, and even as Guardian later on, and I’ve never gotten one of them. But I’ve never requested them either.
So you’re not alone 😀
