Havok vs korg

I know havok won’t take thorns damage unless he uses a special but how do you control korgs rock charges? I can’t handle him with havok when he’s constantly being unstoppable and unblockable and basically stun immune. Especially with him in the tier 5 that I have to farm. Any and all help with countering korg would be greatly appreciated.

But don’t dex him and always push him to SP2 and TRY TO NOT USE MEDIUMS

I fight Korg with Havok twice in this version of AQ. I usually start the fight trying to bait heavy and then counter with combo. I try to parry after that. If it sticks, another combo and shield down. If he shrugs it, he will dash back and when he dashes at you, try and parry again. Repeat this as much as needed.

I also find his dash pretty easy to intercept. He sort drops his front should right as he’s starting the dash.

Lastly, as the previous poster mentioned, try to avoid dexing his M/L attacks. I do my best to keep him on his side of the screen just in case he does go unblockable/unstoppable and I need some space to recover.

You need to be aggressive and not evade away from him constantly when he is using basic attacks. Doing so powers up his unblockable. Instead, try to parry him. If Korg has high sig he has a chance to shrug off the parry stun and gain another rock charge, so you have to learn to be patient. When you block him don't assume the stun will stick and try to immediately attack. Instead hang there a short moment and see if it sticks. If it doesn't stick you should hold block in case he does an immediate counter attack, and if he instead backs away you can release block and wait for him to come to you again.

Try to use as much light attacks as you can to reduce his rock stacks. Do not use specials until his stacks drop to zero or you're wasting the special attack (he'll reduce the damage if he has rock stacks).

It helps if you can learn to evade his special 1, and try to be aggressive and push him to special 2 which is way easier to evade.

There's some deliberate mistakes in that one (and one for real mistake) because I was trying to demonstrate some stuff. Twice I use full combos which is a no-no for Mix Master. That was me making deliberate mistakes. One time I use a special when he still had a rock stack. That was just stupid on my part. And of course since I'm doing ML to bypass Mix Master this is not what you would do with a normal Korg, you would do MLLLL. But in terms of the parrying tactics and not evading too much to to prevent him going unblockable, that's more or less how I deal with Korg.
