Mutant/Horsemen/Prof X question.

Can members of the 4 horsemen not use the mental barrier bonus from Prof X if the champ is being used as a horsemen? I don't see in any descriptions where it says it's not supposed to, unless I missed something? Both of these fights has Prof X as a member of my team. Thank you in advance.
