Mags iffy against masochism

So as I'm trying to explore 7.1 I've seen that mags sp3 doesn't get the armor breaks at all, now I fully understand that yes masochism still has a 30% to trigger but masochism counts every debuff that triggers at the same time as one so mags only getting 3-4 armor breaks is an impossible outcome unless there's something messing up with it, he also has consistently gotten purified 10 times in a row

is it the path in 7.1.1 that starts out with the nebula? i'm doing the same path, and what i've found is that the masochism triggers about 1/5 of the time on my parry stuns. what i do is when i have a sp3 i just parry until it triggers masochism and then throw my sp3

edit: i think what happens with the sp3 is for every armor break, it rolls an rng for the masochism, and if one triggers, then it stops the rest
