What would be the “essential” villains for the contamination quest for V6?

I used Ghost and Doom, both with synergy partners. Rhino too somewhere.

I’d say you need at least one of: doom, ghost, mags and 2* rhino

R4 and higher: Mags (r4), Venom(r4), Ghost(r4), Doom(r5), Rhulk(r5), Void(r5), and Crossbones(r5)

I did it with kingpin, red hulk, ultron, red mags and r3 5 venom mainly

Venom can cheese with powerlock and heavy in the corner for several paths.

Magneto can cheese the unstoppable healing paths.

Omega red was great for biohazard (I suck with ghost) and so is sentinel.

Overall, venom and sentinel are both MVPs for nearly all variants (minus V7 since it's heros only).

To be fair, he's only recently been updated and wasn't worth a rankup when V6 came out. He's pretty awesome now, but he also doesn't have any particular strong points for V6 that gives him a major benefit from the nodes like Venom, Magneto and/or rhino on certain paths. Omega red and sentinel are hard counters to a couple paths and the DDHK boss too.

Vulture worked well for me. It's more about the villains who can make use of the global node rather than having an essential one imo.
