This months Cavalier Difficulty [Merged]

Kabam, this months Cavalier difficulty is significantly higher than previously.

whoever designed this months event seems to he disconnected with player’s.

Lately it seems the game is lacking big time. Difficulty goes up but rewards stay low??

then offer rank up materials to pay to win players.

materials not available in any content but if you spend you suddenly can improve smh

Yeah, but anyone can do it because well-time blocks grant a Fury buff (for 10 seconds I believe) so all you got to do is parry 3 times and then start attacking. They make it easier this time around.

But the node gives u furies, u can literally do that with everyone

Yeah, but anyone can do it because well-time blocks grant a Fury buff (for 10 seconds I believe) so all you got to do is parry 3 times and then start attacking. They make it easier this time around.

The node even gives you additional furies using specials lol

Alongside a node that gives you furies. Aside from Red Guardian, you can do it with anyone.

Haven't done the Quests yet, but if this is true then I really like this model of Cav.

I'd rather have one really good fight than 15 Eh-tier fights that are more time-consuming than challenging.

Seems fine. Haven’t fought the two new bosses, but the first four were a mix of easy and crappy. Got thru them.

Im curious how many months you’ve been doing Cav EQ? If it’s been quite a few you’ll notice that there’s usually an ebb and flow to how difficult they are. While this may be a little more difficult than others, it’s still very much in the realm of how difficult they usually are.

Is there anything in particular you’re struggling with? There’s a whole forum of people good at the game here and would be very happy to offer advice

I can agree with this - just did completion and it does seem the bosses have harder nodes than previous months, but the paths were the same if not easier.

This month's boss nodes I can recall off the top of my head are what you'd see in tier1-3 AW like power snack combined with mix master etc . it's not necessarily the individual nodes but the combination with the boss defender.

I wouldn't complain about it but it is harder than the last couple iterations. Nothing wrong with that I guess, as in previous months I found exploring UC was harder than exploring Cav

Yeah bosses are harder, honestly it’s got a bit too easy lately, wouldn’t be so bad if the game wasn’t so laggy with all the multiple interactions, and dropping inputs/blocks randomly, I suspect the old evade punch bug is back, but it may also be that I’ve always double tapped for each punch (the last 4 years this technique worked) now if I double tap it seems to queue the second punch so when I stop after the evade it often still punches the second punch.
Personally I don’t like that you don’t get the class buffs when fighting the bosses
And I also don’t like that the aar interferes with the buffs
But just that’s my opinion

Funny, I never got the evade punch bug this time while I've had it for as long as I could remember.
This is my second time doing Cav eq and that Spider-Man is not fun. Especially since Falcon's locked on is bugged as well

Bingo.....Just dabbled on quest one and ibom made it so fun and I was laughing all the way to spiderman.....who proceeds to poop on my whole team

I like Void better for the paths. At one time, I had debuffs ticking for 2k per second on the defender. And mine is r4

I don't mind increased difficulty actually, but I'd love to see some rewards increase with it

I'm starting to get the feeling too many players have been leaning on evade counters recently and have forgotten how evade works in the game. Old-timers that had to fight champs like Spider man and Nightcrawler often without True Strike or steep DAAR champs (because they were uncommon back in the day) either learned, or intuitively figured out, that evade is not an event, it is a state (or they just got wrecked by evade constantly). When a champion "evades" they actually trigger an evade state, and this lasts for some period of time (often about half a second, sometimes longer). If you throw your punches rapidly at a champion that can evade, if they evade one attack they will often evade several others in rapid succession, because once they are in the "evade state" they will keep evading attacks until it expires. This is the source for the long-standing belief that champion evade chances are higher than stated. When a champ says they have a 5% chance to evade, that means they have a 5% chance when attacked to trigger the evade state. In that state they will evade that attack - and all attacks that come after that for a short window of time.

If a champion has evade, and you haven't completely shut that evade down, you have to moderate your attacks. You don't try to complete five hit combos because the last attack generally leaves you vulnerable. You tap deliberately so you can back out if your next attack triggers an evade, so you don't throw another attack into the evade (if you're really slick you can throw the next attack very slightly delayed, and it will catch the champion after he evades and tries to counter attack, although this takes perfect timing).

If Spiderman seems to be evading almost every attack, my suspicion is someone has forgotten (or not learned) how evade works, and is throwing attacks into an evader and letting them evade multiple attacks with one trigger. This is dangerous, and will likely get you killed.

A little bit of difficulty isn't bad. I actually like it more now since while it's challenging, the fun nodes help you out a lot and the bosses are challenging and require some strategy.
