Does colossus need his sig if I’d only use him for questing?

I see a lot of people say that his sig is only needed if you want to do LoL or Abyss and I was wondering how bad is it needed if only want to use him for questing?

    His sig helps for bog healthpool fights, which is pretty much anything beyond 6.1

    Nope
    He does not need it, but it will help a lot with bigger healthpools. Act 7 is very close to ROL health pools.
    The way you play him will somewhat change. If he is duped you will hardly do any sp1 but do sp2 instead. Without you build him up with sp1 and throw a big sp2 after.
