    I know it's early, and I don't really have all the info on it .. but from the peeks I've seen .. I'm guessing it's going to be like Masteries 2.0 ..
    (ie like masteries, giving you options to buff up your champs, but probably "better"? )

    Relics are "things", probably items, that can be applied to champions to give them additional abilities, stat buffs, or strikers (at higher levels). The roadmap also described them as similar to masteries, but only applied to single champions.
