Thronebreaker roster question

Curious how many 5 star R5's (or 6* R2s) you guys had when you beat the grandmaster. Wanting to know to see at what point I should start on 6.2-6.4 instead of 100% variants. Of course it depends on the champs, but just wanted the number you had. Include champs you had if you want. Thanks!

If you can do the content almost itemless you are ready for it. Give it a shot and determine it for yourself

I completed most of Act 6 running R5s: Doom, Torch, Sunspot, Corvus, CGR or Hit Monkey occasionally I brought in my 6* R2s Warlock/Stealth Spidey. However for Grandmaster I used champs I was comfortable doing the challenges for in that fight so I went with 5* R5s Corvus & Doom, 6* R2 Warlock, and then 5* R4s Ghost and CapIW (both awakened). So I only used 2 R5s for that grandmaster fight. When you get to him it really comes down to skill as a player and then champs you have that you are very comfortable using but are still high ranked to give and take good amounts of damage so even R4s worked. I took him down with only one lvl 2 team revive used only losing 7 champs to KO. But I think it is important to have a teams worth of 5* R5s to get through act 6. It’s always nice to go into a quest and scout out the mobs and say I have a 5* that can counter that. Hope this information helps and best of luck to you on your push to thronebreaker, you got this!

To clarify I had 6 R5s total when I went through act 6 but I only used 2 for the Grandmaster fight. That’s the reason for my vote is 1-3.

By the time I initially beat GM, I had 15-20 5R5 champs which could almost counter every path/node in 6.3&6.4.

Just for reference, the numbers will be slightly skewed to the higher side since there were a lot of people who had a bunch of 5* r5s before the grandmaster fight came out. I think most people do it with a team of around 5 rank 5s if they didn’t already have a stacked roster when the fight came out.

Thanks! Good to know. I came back to the game after that whole debacle so spaced that aspect of it.
