Ant Man SP1 Misses?

Hey, all.
I am running into an issue with Ant Man. I’ve encountered multiple fights where I am unable to chain his SP1 after a 5 hit combo. My in-game name is AlonDoBoy, and I’ve been playing the game for years, so I know it’s not an issue with my device or my technique.
