Clarification Needed Regarding uncollected arena crystals

Yesterday, I got a SINGLE energy refill from an UNCOLLECTED arena crystal.
When Miike announced the Uncollected Arena crystals, he said,
"So you are able to score 5 times as much gold, 5 times as many units, 5 Full Energy Refills, and 5 times as many points for Summoner Advancement."
Since I just got a SINGLE energy refill from an uncollected arena crystal, I submitted a ticket and was told that,
"It means that you are only able to get these or score 5 times as much gold, but it wasn't guaranteed. It is definitely by chance."
Is this accurate? If so, why was this not stated from the outset/release of these crystals? Is a SINGLE energy refill really a potential drop from uncollected arena crystals?

Customer support never know what they are talking about.
They clearly don't, and they only seem interested in playing semantic games to avoid having to fix any problems.
