Is Summoner Showdown still starting next week?

With the current issues with the game and one competitive aspect of the game being interrupted, I'd like to know if the summoner showdown is still planned to start next week?

I actually didn’t even realize this. Perfect timed inputs are required when you’re racing to be the fastest
