Leveling 6* champs

Why is it that it requires more iso per level to level up a 6* r2 than it does to rank up a 6* r3? All of these champs here are a similar level yet bishop is needing nearly 30k iso per level and Hercules is needing 27k iso whereas dragon man is only needing 25k iso? This feels a little odd to me lol
