Depends on your roster but I would it is on par if not easier than 5.3 except in certain areas. The ability to do your normal damage again is a relief.

Personally I found the last boss a nightmare, and the Sentinel mini as well. Most fights leading up to the boss are easy, if you pick the right path. Maybe grind arena and Act 4 for units so you don't find yourself locked in the quest.

Congrats! 5.4 was relatively easier except for the final ultron boss, who was a bit of a pain, but not too troubling
