Solo Crystals

Sup everyone
You know, we players always talk about lot of things that need fixing, but I think we never talk about how useless Solo Crystals are lol

Am I the only one who thinks they need to upgrade them?

I mean, I opened about 200 Greater Solo Crystals, which are the ones with the t1 alphas, cuz I need about 10 quickly to do some 5* rank ups, and I thought to myself "You know what? That might work" but nope. 0,45% chance for a pretty relevant but cheap item, and not a single sight of one in about 200 Greater Solo Crystals. And there comes my other issue, they don't even add them at a higher chance on Supreme Solo Crystals.

Idk about you guys, but as a player who plays casually and focuses mostly on AQ and Cav/Uc quests, along with story Quests. I don't really have much time to play Cat arenas or lower level quests such as heroic or master for whats is like, 3 t1 alpha each I think?
And also, sadly Glory items have a cap. So yeah, I just think that's one aspect of the game that could use some improvement to save some players a little time.
Cuz I find It weird how I almost always have t5b and t2a on overflow, but falling short on t1a, cuz apparently I have to go back to play way lower level content that otherwise doesn't help me in anything, just to cover my necessity of a certain item? (And btw yes, I do rank up my 6* champs everytime I get a decent one).

Idk, in my opinion it's just a weird aspect of the game that I've noticed. So don't get me wrong, if I need an item I'll still try to get it some other way. But I think that a little adjustment in this particular case doesn't hurt anyone.

Yep, I can't imagine anything worse than an unlimited supply of free boosts

Oh, if you're referring to greater solo crystals than I see your point, but don't open greaters. Just don't. The supreme ones are infinitely better

Yes 0.45% is way too steep for a solo crystal. It wouldn't hurt the game economics if it was a bit higher.

And kinda No, t1a are enough to make do with rankups. I wouldn't mind more t1s but there are plenty if you really value them.
I don't even grind that much arena myself, but my rankup habits depends on how willing I'm to invest time on t1a/t4b arena.

If there is urgency, I'll skip everything and do t1a arena. The game has areas that accommodate various cat needs. What I do is to use those arena boosts+small boosts which we get from solo crystals to bring down arena grind time. Sparring 1 hour is not easy I know, but then we get t1a cats arena weekly so even when I skip most weeks, I try to get it atleast once-maybe twice a month.

Heroic and master only needs one completion with autoplay, efficient way is to drop 70 energy that will just sit there after the UC/Cav is 100%. Every little bit helps.
We get 1 every 3 days from 3 day event, 1-2 every week depending on SA.

I'm always short on t1a too, but I can't complain, when you(means I) don't grind enough arenas, there's no need for me to upgrade 5* to even r2 anyway.

As I said, I was testing if it's worth to try to catch some t1a, which the Supreme ones don't have sadly. Updated: opened 300 and not a single t1a lol. So yeah, I just think there's a problem with that.

Now for boosts, yeah, I agree that the Supreme ones are a good source of questing boosts, if you ignore those useless mountains of Exp boosts, 4* ag and arena boosts ofc.

That's fair but probably just pretend that the t1a isn't there, you're more likely to get a 6* out of a cav these days

Fair enough. I personally can't get myself into grinding arena cuz after playing AQ and monthly EQ I'm like done with the game until next day lol.
Currently I'm trying to rank up 2 5* up each week, and I mean champs which I want/need maxed, which are plenty tbh.
And iirc taking a 5* champ to r3 or r4 takes about 5 t1a? Which are what you get from both Heroic and Master completion. But yeah, that only covers one rank so even if you can play them in auto-play I still hate the concept of having to be aware of the fact that I have the game running atm lol. Just to take a champ one rank up.

Also, these Crystals after all are still not unlimited, cuz the hundreds of thousands that I've just opened are shards saved from months of doing daily/solo objectives. So yeah, I personally believe that they should be a little more rewarding if you need them or at least a little more reliable if you have like a "emergency" rank up lol. Now I'll sit low on these shards just for nothing while I have higher rarity/value items stacked 🤔? Idk, a weird concept to me.

Lol was thinking the same tbh. I guess the best to do is devote myself to Kabam some more and play some infamous arenas haha.

Yes, that much is true. I just think that at this point neither the Lesser or Greater ones should exist, or at least give the t1a on Greater ones a higher %, cuz that would be their only saving grace, otherwise they're proving to be quite irrelevant/wasteful.

Yea T1 alpha is such a huge bottleneck. Increasing the drop rates of t1 alpha in those crystals by a substantial amount would be one way in addressing it.

Tbh boosts are their only saving grace, which is good, but they could be better. Cuz that only makes the Supreme ones relevant imo, while if they just increased the % of drop for t1a on Greater ones that would solve a huge problem imo.

i dont think they should be touched persinakky i like to pop them when i have a big stash of boosts an get 2* sig stones an max out my 2* roster its a oersonal thing i like but if they changed it an left the sigs as is id be fine with that

Personally, all I would like to happen is if they just increase the drop % for t1a on Greater crystals. Which wouldn't have to affect the state of the crystals and any other items.

So yeah, Supreme ones are indeed a HUGE help just because of the boosts alone (especially for AW players), so I do open them every once in a while. However, while doing that even boosts can get into overflow, so why not get a chance at getting some other useful item?
For me, as a TB player who needs to rank up quite a few 5* every now and then, I would personally love it if they just increase the t1a chance on Greater Crystals or add them at a higher chance on Supreme ones, cuz right now I find them quite disappointing and not very helpful if It isn't for boosts.
As someone mentioned earlier, t1a are a huge bottleneck tbh, so by doing what I propose I think that it would solve a huge problem for endgame/advanced players, in both item availability and time spent grinding imo (cuz after all, not even doing both heroic-master mode EQ + playing arenas make the cut). And after all, this is still not an unlimited source of items, cuz you still need to save shards, sure it's easy to stack them, but you need to do something to get them after all.

So yeah, that's my point.
I'm sorry if I may sound repetitive, but Idk if the point was quite understood until now, or maybe I didn't phrase It correctly.

PS: I would to again, point out that I opened about 300 Greater Solo crystals and didn't see a single t1a catalyst lol. So yeah, 0.45% chance is not a good look imo.
