BWDO write-up

Hey everyone. Today's suggestion is by @BuggyDClown. I personally haven't played this spider much but I've heard some mixed reviews. I'm just gonna get some OJ and get this champ write-up going! (All stats will be based off of a 5* r5 with no suicides unless otherwise stated)

Every attack Bwdo uses (except first hit of heavy and first hit of sp1): Deal energy damage (great for Korg) and has a 40% chance to inflict a shock debuff, dealing 1827.75 energy damage over 4.5 seconds

Awakened ability: Increase the damage done by sabotage by 50-120% depending on sig. At max sig, sabotage now deals 107 damage. Increase the duration of sabotage by 20-80%. Also, now landing hits while insight is active pauses insight debuffs for .5 seconds regardless of sig. This awakened ability is very unimportant and gives a minimal damage bump. Although it does help keep sabotage up, even with sabotage Bwdo only reduces defensive ability accuracy by 90% max (medium attacks in insight and sabotage). So she isn't reliable for daar.

Widow's insight (2 parts):

How to enter: Bwdo gains a Widow's insight passive for .85 seconds while the opponent is dashing forward (plain ol' intercepts), recovering from a special attack (special intercepting), or recovering from a heavy attack (heavy countering). Widow's insight is refreshed while smacking the opponent, and is unaffected by aar.

Benefits of being in Widow's insight: Each hit Bwdo does while in insight increases her insight counter by 1, to a max of 50. When the max is reached, the counter won't go up, but Bwdo still gains her insight benefits. Light attacks have a 100% chance to inflict shock, and medium attacks reduce the opponent's defensive ability accuracy by 70%. The second hit of her heavy attack inflicts stun for 1.75 seconds (enough time to dash back in after using a heavy attack in widow's insight). Ending a combo has a 100% chance to grant a precision buff giving 286 critical rating over 24 seconds.

Counter attack evade: When caused to miss, gain a passive evade giving Bwdo a 100% chance to evade attacks for the next 8 seconds. After evading this passive is removed. (This is an evade where if you evade, you can dash into the opponent like Elsa's evade/non contact parry) When evading as Bwdo, inflict a 6 second sabotage debuff. This evade makes Bwdo a prime candidate for Tunnel vision. If you do a mlll combo after parrying, your 4th light will miss, causing Bwdo to evade, giving you an opening. Then mll, evade, mll, evade, etc.

Sabotage debuff: Reduce the opponent's defensive ability accuracy by 20%. Sabotage deals 48.78 direct damage whenever the opponent's abilities fail.

Sp1: The last hit inflicts shock, dealing 2437 energy damage over 13 seconds. This special attack gives Bwdo her passive evade for 6 seconds as well. This attack is useless, so don't use it.

Sp2: The damage dealer. This attack pauses widow's insight, and every hit that lands while the opponent is shocked deals a burst of 4630 energy damage. That's a combined total of 23,150 burst energy damage. Also, if widow's insight is active, all hits of this attack reduce defensive ability accuracy by 70%.

Sp3: Inflict a 16 second sabotage debuff. For every 5 stacks of Widow's insight to her max (50), gain a cruelty passive increasing critical damage by 430. (At 50 insight, that's 21500 critical damage rating. Combined with a couple precisions, now even Bwdo's basic attacks start putting up serious numbers)

How I would play Bwdo: Intercept as much as possible to have insight up as long as possible, and bait out sp1s so you can punish those and stay in insight as well. I prefer light intercepts for minimal risk. In smaller healthpools, throwing 1-2 sp2s will get the job done. In larger healthpools, throw a sp2 at max insight then build to a sp2. Always intercept.

Saquon's review: I guess I'm doing this now. Bwdo has some great damage potential and is very fun to play. She also has some niche utility with her miss-evade mechanic, and inflicting shocks. However, she lacks general utility due to having 0 immunities, daar only reaching at max 90%, and being on the squishier side. Her tricky playstyle also makes her a risky champ.

Well, that's it! This was my first write-up on a champ I haven't really used much before. Hope this was helpful, and if you'd like another writeup, give me a champ and I'll consider taking a crack at them.

Sorry for any typos
-Saquon.

Her high damage output allows her to deal with stuff she shouldn't but other than that, I really wish she had more utility.

@Saquongoat Thanks for such write up. Keep it up. Your write ups well appreciated especially for underrated champs.

I was sleeping on BWDO but then skill ch in cav eq opened my eyes. She's at r2 now (6*). Love her. Very Awesome and fun to play champ

Love taking on void with her. The 7 hit combo is suuuper helpful in getting those debuffs off as soon as they come. Her shock damage is stupid good too. My only few problems is that her sabotage is absolutely useless, she can’t start a combo after her counter evade unlike Elsa and I think Mister Negative(?), and the fact that she’s a bit lacking in utility.

Aside from that she has really high end damage output that she can get pretty fast, lots of shock debuffs, good crit rating, an okay defensive AAR, precision buffs, and overall really fantastic animations and a smooth playing feel. I’m a happy owner of a 6* version, and unless I pull a Nick Fury, she’s gonna be my next skill rank up to r2. She’s gonna be my R3 option for thronebreaker as well if my T5CC fragment luck leans towards skill.

Shoot. You're right. I totally thought she would be able to. Sorry everyone for getting that wrong
