To OP, I’d say it probably depends on who you enjoy more. These two champs are so close to each other in terms of who’s better (that’s why there is such a debate about it), if you want damage go CGR for sure. If you want utility then it depends what you need: flexible rotations, buff control, non-contact mediums, KM/Mysterio counter, armour breaks, power control, heal counter, incinerate on sp1, higher block proficiency than doom then go for CGR. If you need insane power gain for easy intercepts, high energy/physical resistance, higher incinerate damage on sp1, RNG stun on sp2 with guaranteed armour break then go for Hyperion.
It depends what you value higher, and what you need right now.
If CGR is 6 star and you run suicides go CGR
