Where Is the New Content for Lower Rarities?

Earlier this year, it was announced that some of the (then) future content will also allow players to utilize champs with lower rarities. It was around the time when they also announced disabling selling of champs iirc.
Until now (to the best of my memory), the notable relevant game additions/updates we've had were a handful of special objectives and the celebration arenas. Not the kind of content we'd expect from the tone of the announcement, quite honestly.
And as much as we enjoy opening 5* and 6* crystals and ranking up 5* and 6* champs, I believe we'd really appreciate it if Kabam followed through (or is in the process of following through) with this. It'll be a highly inclusive initiative, where most, if not all, progression levels can participate without being hindered by not having a stacked 5* or 6* roster. And that might be a reason why something to that effect can be difficult to design.
Whatever the case, any information or update Kabam can share with us will be well appreciated. Cheers.

And as you mentioned, basically everyone would have high ranking lower rarity champions. So, there's the dilemma of "Should we lock the content behind a progression level, or should we design a quest that a Conqueror and Throne Breaker can do?"
The former will probably lead to outrage, the latter would be quite difficult to design.
I think you could design one event but have progression-based objectives. We saw that work rather well with SOP and I think Kabam could expand on that into actual quests. Maybe UC and under only need to complete the quest while Cavalier and TB get different objectives that both make the quest harder and give better reward than the completion/exploration ones. Just like with SOP at the moment, basically. Just for everyone to participate in.
One thing the Astral Anger (was that what it was called?) Carina Challenge informed me of is how having to use non-optimal champs in content can really make that content much, much harder without making any changes to the content itself.
One thing that I'd be curious to see would be objectives for maybe Master EQ. As TB (and probably a lot of other, lower-tiered players as well), you always kind of breeze through that difficulty - if you play it at all. It could be nice to have some objectives there that make the content more challenging, as well as more rewarding. That way, Kabam could kind of kill two birds with one stone. More people would have more stuff to do on a monthly basis, and more people would explore the content Kabam themselves are putting out without them having to design a lot of new content.
I don't think it should replace side quests by any means and I think Kabam should be careful to not burn people out by having them do too much EQ each month, but it could be a cool little use of all of our 3 and 4* champs.
Having objectives for different progression is good though. But it will still have to he two quests: One for UC and power and another for Cav and TB. I don't really see a way to design content for all levels without Cavs and TB's auto-fighting the whole thing.
