Makes it fairly easy and not require potions. If you don't have a 5 or 6* white mag, just bring a 3 or 4* and use doom on the fights.
@DrZola Thanks for the tip. Much less painful.
Harder than SoP??? Really??
DISCLAIMER: I am speaking specifically about the Sym Spidey one. I have not tried the other quests (with the one noted exception) so I have no idea how hard those quests are.
The SS is also only rankable to a 5r5 equivalent and can't be brought to any game content outside of the side quest. Legendary SQ content has been reasonably doable for cav players for at least the entirety of 2021, but now cav players are being barred from a one-time trophy champion (because epic rewards aren't enough to rank him) as well as content rewards that they've normally had access to without dipping into revives/units for even a single mistake, with no word or explanation from Kabam in any way about the sudden increase in difficulty. I know many throne breakers are itching for more challenging and engaging content, but this isn't SOP or a try-hard challenge like with Shang Chi or Boss Rush events. Can you really not understand why so many are upset?
The AV quest is a different animal. I’ve had one run that made me wonder what my problem was because it was straightforward. I had another where I couldn’t get AV to throw specials and ate a ton of block damage. And I had another where I never figured out the “daily” parry timing and ate combos.
Here’s the issue for me: when we all know that there are problems with moving around the screen, and that those problems will likely persist until 2022 in some form, and that certain aspects of the game require timing to avoid losing a champ…it would be appreciated if the team could throw us a bone more regularly for normal questing.
But not with free stuff—doing things like running the Halls of Healing more frequently, sticking some more pots in the EQ paths, running a pots for gold deal, etc.
It doesn’t have to be earth-shattering, but if many of us are going to be burning a few pots every day for the daily quest and have 7.3 just around the corner, it would be appreciated.
Dr. Zola
Agent Venom needs strong tenacity counter (Wags)
Venompool needs DoT+no buffs/heal reversal (Void, HT etc)
Sym Spidey doesn't need a specific counter and that's why those who do just that quest find it easy
I feel hoodwinked but the devs, saying “you’ll get this for doing that”. And then making the thing we are supposed to do, so punishing.
What I would really like is a comment on how hard the legendary difficulty “should” be. What level champs is this designed for? And what level of item input is expected, on a side quest?
There’s a lot of jerkiness in his movements. It’s not that hard, but just annoying. Everything about this month’s quest feels like a big tease.
Dr. Zola
What are we supposed to do? Leave the quest and waste the key? Or spend countless resources when we wouldn't in the first place? Or just give up taking summoned symbiote to rank 5 by not doing legendary at all? Lots of us shouldn't even have to be making this decision in the first place because it's not our fault!
The odd thing is, I tried the epic after and controls worked like a charm. Why is that the controls issues only come up on hard fights?
They said last month that this month's would be worth all the grinding, but all I got so far is frustration.
And by default we don't even hear a single word from them.
Starting to find out that there's only so much frustration one can take.
Dr. Zola
I honestly don't want compensation. Because if it comes it will be in the form of potions and revives. What about the units I spent? They are far more valuable to me right now because I'm saving to switch my mastery setting.
But Kabam should be a bit more reasonable and take into consideration that there's a bug going on that they haven't fixed yet. We understand that there's a bug and we have been patient. Even though we complain from time to time, we're still here! What are they doing? Sending AQ & AW potions and boosts that not all of us will ever use?
The combination of nodes, as unfortunate as they may be, don't really bother me. Maybe allow us to take more than 2 champs into the quest? Even one more would be of help to save resources.
Ultimately, I’m just let down, even though I saw it coming with all the hype. It’s a clunky event that’s just a little overtuned for having to do it 4 weeks straight. Hard to believe it’s been less than a week.
Dr. Zola
But either way since my Highest Star Rating Wags is a 3 Star, SS would be my only option for all 3 Fights which is annoying with all the Input/Control Uncertainties+Weird AI. Not to mention all the Block Damage, but you can't bring a High BP Champion to deal with that or else the Unblockable and Beefy Armor will get you so you need a Champion with Armor Break/Nullify majority of which aren't known for High BP... (Minus Doom but I don't have him.)
Then even if you tried to just out play all that the Guaranteed Tenacity rules out a ton more Champions that rely on Debuffs, and again the Input/Control Uncertainties could ignore any skill you have...
