Is 7.3.1 matador bugged ?

My first 2 fights on this path (I use apocalypse 5r5) both ended up with defender launching special but me not gaining any power. This is a problem because of the hurt locker node.
Anybody seen that too ?

Doesn't Apoc apply a concussion? AAR can prevent the power

Hard to understand how ME applying aar to the defender (concussion but maybe assassin range) could lead to matador failing to provide me “due” power bar.
How could matador node be depending on defender ability accuracy??? That’s nonsense.
I could understand if I had aar… but not because I apply it.
Note: this was a problem because of special delivery node (need 1sp every 15 hits minimum), not because of HL.

I dunno but its how it works. Apparently it becomes an opponent ability to give you a bar of power when they use a special, and AAR turns that off
I have that with Archangel all the time

But at the same time his immunity to AAR doesn't apply to some nodes like hot and bothered or whatever applies that incinerate and the Hard Knock Life when his AA is reduced, so then it apparently doesn't count as the opponent ability
So idk this whole thing confuses me.

Because it is the opponent who is giving you power. Nodes are part of opponents kit of abilties
