As promised for @Maverick75 my new phone came a day early. The Pixel 6, not the 6 pro version, which is a tiny bit larger but with a higher res screen and higher native fps screen I was looking for all day battery. Not gonna review the phone as you can youtube that, so mcoc.
I'm pretty much solely using mcoc only on my iPad now as the old android experience on my Samsung Note 9 was bad...very bad. I only use my phone for my alt which I had to unretire to help my ally, so all screenshots are using that account. Straight away I notice the aspect ratio is a little higher than it was on the old phone, but it's much smoother. You can turn on a frame rate counter, you see it between 45 and 90 - there aren't any fluctionations just depending on the screen the pixel adjusts the frame rate based on demand. Menus get the higher rate, fights the lower as the graphics demand goes up I guess.
Into the meat then, 45fps is horrible for a game designed to be locked at 30. The phone is throwing an extra frame for every 2 by itself - that means shaking, jerking and I'm sure 5minutes of than a headache big enough for godzilla to walk back in the Pacific. I watch a youtube review on the phones gaming prowess and they talked about a feature with dynamic screen refreshes - and shown how to turn it off. FPS FIX It's in settings > display> Smooth Display Turn it off and... amazing!! 30fps for fights, no more, no less. No lag, no accidental inputs, no shaking, and for the first time on android, the game looks as gorgeous as on iOS.
Tranferring and updating a billion apps over the phone, mostly around the camera bump was warm. Once this finished, i fired the game up and didn't feel the heat increasing or staying the same as you'd expect if it was under high load, the heat dissapated and wasn't noticed and I'm pretty sure it was still trying to update other background stuff.
Load time in an arena matchup was much improved, I got between 4 and 6 seconds load time between fights. Curious to see how this changes over time as the phone uses a from-the-ground-up CPU thats unique to google and they do have the ability to bend the ear of game engine developers like apple do instead of the 3rd party developers like snapdragon.
It's a nice phone, the camera bump/bar on the back is good for hand placement and don't have any problem with the bezel for tapping. Just... no one tell my alliance I have a phone that I could use at work to help clear a lane as I've been using that excuse for a year now. shhhh

None of that, but and I think this is an android wide thing - evade seems a little off like it ends quciker vs iOS.
I remember having a bad time doing the grandmaster when my Samsung was fine with the game as I'd get clipped by that sp1 beam even before the commands more often than not. I did it again on iPad and was way easier, that seems to still be there.
No overheated still, but I've not done a big arena session on it.
I saw some old news mentioning that MCOC has the label « Optimized for Pixel 6 ».
Please could someone add information about:
- the framerate (fps) of MCOC on the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 6 Pro?
- what this label means technically for the player?
Thank you in advance for your answers
