Man, what is the point in 1/2 of 6* Doom, or CGR. Totally useless. I would hate to be halfway to duping Nick Fury.
Not in sarcasm mode now, the point of Variant quests was to be endgame content about a year ago. Now, players in the endgame have surpassed that level. They don't need to keep upping the rewards and difficulty, because that was never the point. Variants were also not meant to be super difficult, but celebrate specific groups of champions and fun node combos that would be out of place in other areas of the game. The rewards are still decent, even as an endgame player myself. It may not be amazing value, but for the effort it should take you at this level, it is better than most. Variant content is targeted at a certain level of player, it is not meant to progressively increase in difficulty.
