Weapon X worth ranking?

So I pulled a 5* weapon x from ggc. Does anyone know if he's worth ranking up? Only videos I can find are of 6* r3 and duped which does not really tell me enough about the 5* version. Also does he need to be duped? I have a class gem but was also debating using it on Kitty Pride who I just pulled also. I am uncollected and working on Cavalier, still in act 5.
