**WINTER OF WOE - BONUS OBJECTIVE POINT**
As previously announced, the team will be distributing an additional point toward milestones to anyone who completed the Absorbing Man fight in the first step of the Winter of Woe.
This point will be distributed at a later time as it requires the team to pull and analyze data.
The timeline has not been set, but work has started.
There is currently an issue where some Alliances are are unable to find a match in Alliance Wars, or are receiving Byes without getting the benefits of the Win. We will be adjusting the Season Points of the Alliances that are affected within the coming weeks, and will be working to compensate them for their missed Per War rewards as well.

Additionally, we are working to address an issue where new Members of an Alliance are unable to place Defenders for the next War after joining. We are working to address this, but it will require a future update.

One line Mephisto buff

While it would be great to see Meph get a real moderate or value buff a quick and easy way to make him more viable is to just remove the soul cost for the sp1 soul Imprisonment instead of taxing out his best utility. Adding other benefits to his soul count like crit rate or attack increase would be even better but Mephisto is one of those champs that some quick minor adjustments would make him playable for tons more people.

    I like how they thought that was a good idea with the Hela Synergy but didn't go all the way, it'd be nice to see that made for every Soul Imprisonment then moved to his Base Kit especially this that's basically just a Neutralize and nothing too op to be gaining off an Sp1 when Tigra's can gain it off every attack.

    The Attack per Charge thing is also a Synergy and I'm fine with that staying as is because it'd be damn annoying on Defense to be getting hit with progressively stronger Auras in roster limiting content like Variants.

    I wouldn't mind it staying a synergy with a better champ but if you're using Meph you really want a bit more damage and nobody is dragging the Champion around to get it. He's so close to being a really good champ, so close that it feels weird it hasn't been done already.

    That'd be great if they turned it into a Power Burn, just seems more appropriate too...

    Mephisto just needs a tweak or two.

    They don't even need to remove the cost of using Souls to power Soul Imprisonment: make the SP1 soul consumption optional if it's used after a Light Attack.
    If thrown after a medium attack, don't consume a soul or activate Soul Imprisonment.

    That way, you have a bit of control to use them strategically, if the opponent doesn't proc buffs, or does it late in the fight. And you don't have to sacrifice Souls just to throw an SP1 or access Incinerate.

    Another tweak would be to give the second and subsequent SP3s a Power Drain of just one bar of Power (so it can't trigger a permanent Aura; but at least does something)

    Optional bonus:
    Dash back and hold block for 2 seconds: Consume one Soul to (Dev's choice of):
    - Nullify any buffs on the opponent
    - Trigger Aura of Incineration for eight seconds
    - Grant a Passive Fury of +100% Attack for ten seconds
    - Trigger Regeneration of 10% Max Health
    Something like that.

    He needs a proper nullify and ideally another power burn.

    Love the idea of second and subsequent sp3s burning a bar of power, @Magrailothos

    This is Mephisto; he should be up there with the best at taking power from others in the way of reducing "fight power" as well as removing buffs.

    Remove the soul cost on sp1 and have the sp1 nullify buffs if his aura is active, plus soul imprisoned as normal and have sp3 steal another bar of power on additional activations.

    (And the champion synergy should be in his base kit - he still doesn't hit hard enough with it, even with suicides!!)
