Most embarrassing mcoc moment?

What are some of your most embarrassing mcoc moments? I’ll go first. I spent at least 2k units on the 6.2.6 champion because I didn’t read his nodes. I brought a sorcerer for him and kept wondering why he was hitting me through block. I ended up trying to ghost him, which resulted in lots and lots of deaths. Anyone else have an embarrassing moment?

Quiting the game at the collector. Then coming back after several years and still needing a 6* Domino, Hawkeye and a 4* max stark Spidey to beat him when I returned (thank you GGC).

(I've improved a tiny bit since then).

I went into AW attack and went to fight a Boss havok in the last 10 so minutes I had no revives and i went into the fight using Doctor Doom, so yah I lost the war because of my doom death and no one else took him down

getting to act 4 without an ally or knowing that dash lines are not explored yet..took many screenshots to try and remember which lines I did.

Oh and when finally joining an ally with line…thinking Joanna was real for a week or 2

I did something similar. Took my mini account into 6.2.6 champion thinking I could take him down in a few revives because I got him down on my main account with CAIW dexing 3 times. About 40 revives and 1200 units later, he was still at 10% and I had to quit because I ran out of revives and units.

All of my team got KO in Variant. So I farm units in Arena for a while. Afford one revive, next 10 seconds, died again. Then go farm units again. Lol

I took a aq fight with no masteries in anything last week when they were free to change… couldn’t work it out for a second but had just forgot to put them back on. Glad it wasn’t aw. Also had a 0 point match in battlegrounds that I didn’t feel that good about 😂

I once thought to kill mr sinister in Aq with corvus for mutant charge 🤦🤦🤦🤦. Glad I realised my mistake before jumping in. After that I never joined Aq half sleepy

I played mcoc 2015-2016 then bored and quited, then started playing in 2019 again. When playing monthly eq I used all my units&revives to beat void(not boss😅) because of suicide masteries, I tried with different champs and failure again and again😀 I didnt understand why I was always dying, then asked a friend..

Went to fight cavalier EQ Phoenix after working a long Night Shift, read the buffed up node as buffed up on attacker and not defender. Wondered why prof X was not doing any damage with prowess buffs. To top it off, even created a forum post wondering why. Gave me a chuckle when I read the nodes again after I had some rest. 🤦‍♂️

Went in blind to the Grandmaster (Read abilities but decided I didn’t want to think about how to fight him properly) and spent a bit over 1k units on the day of release. Also, just recently misread a node in 7.4.2 crossbones fight, thought it said “When a buff is nullified from the defender, the defender takes 200% of their attack as damage” But apparently the attacker is the one who takes the damage.

I have so many embarrassing stories. There was that time I spent an absolute ton of units (probably in the thousands) on the Kang boss in Variant 4 only to eventually admit defeat. A couple of months later, I went back and solo'd him with Hulkbuster. Not just once but until I had fully explored the quest. I felt like such a moron.

I also took my fave Punisher 2099 to a Thing boss once. Punisher did his thing and absolutely power-locked Thing, which was amazing. However, that meant that Thing was pretty much constantly unstoppable since he was unable to throw any special attacks to remove his rock stacks. That was...not a fun fight. Also not a very long one.

I also remember nuking myself to death against an Electro once. I figured I just needed to take him down as quickly as possible so I brought Cosmic Ghost Rider to just SP2 him into oblivion. I had never really read Electro's abilities so I just thought that he did damage whenever you make contact with him. That day I learned that he reflects part of the damage you deal back at you, so when I threw my mighty SP2 I died instantly.

There was that one time that I tried a new path in AQ and stumbled upon a hidden node that turned out to be Mr. Sinister. Since I had brought a ramped-up Aegon, that was a painful fight. After 150 critical hits, I was close to timing out, so I got more and more desperate and eventually took a special attack to the face. Not only did that kill me - I also lost the gosh-darn 150-hit combo. Moreover, I had structured my 3-man team around Aegon with the others having more of a supporting role, so when I lost him I didn't really have anyone else that could pick up the slack. This was before all of the AQ compensation so I didn't have a lot of revives or health potions to bring Aegon back either. It ended with me being absolutely useless that AQ.

The funny thing is that I had just wondered why my trusted officer had gotten killed on that very spot in a previous AQ. I never actually asked him, just took his path. When I vented in the chat, he told me that he'd had the exact same problem with his Aegon.

Sometimes switching maps in AQ can be annoying...
