So, I’m not new to the game, but am just lately realizing how little I know about how it works. In that respect, how important is prestige, and why? Does it help with better crystal openings for champs and other rewards? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m just clueless

    The higher your alliance Prestige is the higher you can score in alliance quests and get better rewards. When you are new it's not that important but it becomes a big deal later in the game when your alliance is going after resources or if you are wanting to join a better alliance it's something they might look at.
    There's a multiplier used in AQ to determine points earned based off prestige.
    That looks accurate but didn't double check your prestige. Keep in mind it's figured without masteries so your points are lower than what you see normally.

    I use that guide to get my Prestige, but to be honest it really doesn't mean much outside of alliance recruiting. Just an indicator as to which champs you're ranking up and how many you have ranked up without taking your masteries/boosts into account.

    If you're around 3k, it means you have at least 5 duped champs at R4 (maybe a couple duped 5* champs at R2). Prestige of about 4-4.4k means you're rocking a 5-champ lineup of duped R5 champs. Over 4500 means you've been able to rank up a couple 5* champs.

    I don't have any 5* champs ranked up and a couple R5's, so my prestige is around 4k.

    To be honest, the better indicator of your player profile is how much of the game you've completed vs how much you spent ($ and units) to get there.

    The only thing Prestige affects is AQ Rewards. Based on the Ally, they may have Prestige Requirements for Membership. Other than that, it has no effect. It doesn't affect the Crystal Drops. Those are RNG-based.
