Anyone else notice that with CGR if you fire off your special while 2 is 2 is selected but it changes to 3 before he finishes the move (because it's a long special 2) it counts like you fired it during 3 and get no damage? Other champs I've used have gone by what was active when you started the move, but CGR I've had it happen to me at least a few times lately

    happens to other attackers with long specials like apocalypse.

    Is it possible you changed your combo before throwing the special?
