Neutralize-Mystic Dispersion inconsistent

So this is an extremely specific thing not sure should be called a “bug” I noticed against Cull Obsidian. After his special1 activates a Combo shield buff with 10 counts on it.
If the buff gets neutralized by a previous stagger of Doom heavy for instance, MD counts it as one and fill that amount of bar of power, however if the combo shield buff gets nullified by Claire voyant Sp2 buff immunity MD counts it as 10 different buffs and siphon back a lot more power.
Anyone has the same thing happening?

i never understood the difference, but i remember that fight taking longer with Doom for whatever reason.
Stagger works in a different manner, counting the whole stack as one instance of nullification because the buffs never properly apply due to the stagger effect. If you were to throw Doom’s sp1 rather than staggering the buffs, you would see Mystic Dispersion count them individually as they are nullified off of Cull.
Or
Prevented by buff immunity.
Both cannot happen at the same time in this matchup.
If nullified, power gained will be 10 MD counter.
If prevented, 4% power gained for each 10 Buffs.
Now about the bug.
I never noticed doom vs cull stagger MD power due to doom cycle.
But I'm certain when doom staggers KingGroot's furies, we get power for all furies from MD.
Is that 8% of all “Power”? 8% of a bar of power? If a mystic champ nullified all 12 of Groot’s buffs, would that be 96% of full power? Rarely does it feel like that.
One of the many areas that could benefit from more explicit and clearer description.
