Help me understand Peni Parker

I was recently fighting Peni Parker in arena and again she auto blocks me without having 4 charges. I have noticed on several occasions of her auto blocking without 4 charges.

From my understanding she gains +1 charge when you gain a bar of power which I had 2 bars so 2 charges and she hadn’t reached her sp1 yet that gives her +4 charges. So again she has only gained 2 charges total and she auto blocked me.

The wording in her abilities say 8% chance per charge to consume 4 charges to auto block. So why is she auto blocking under 4 charges? Or does she only consume 4 charges if she has 4 charges but still gets 8% chance per charge no matter what and it’s not worded that way? What am I missing?

She doesn't need 4 charges to auto-block you, only 1. But when she does it will consume 4 charges (wont go negative so if she blocks at 1 or 2 charges it will just go back to 0). The thing you need to do is hit into her block until her Sync-Shield is down from 100 to 0. She cannot autoblock when her Sync-Shield is down.
