Share a Path that Kicked Your Butt and The Insight You Gained

Hey everyone this is a different post from my typical archetype but my alliance did something cool recently sharing particular paths that can be tricky especially if your roster is missing a key champion here or there. If someone shares then point of this wont be to shame anyone for a path that you breezes through but rather to share a path that you went into with the wrong mindset, champion, etc then learned thought differently and overcame. From my alliance alone I noticed that a lot of issues or paths that a player encountered were echoed more than once even if others happened to have an easy time. With this in mind I wanted to create a spot here on the forums where the same brainstorming can go on. I think the EOP forum sessions were super demonstrative of how well this can work and we should actively expand on it.

My “vision” is that someone could simply search a quest in the forums and the relevant paths should pop up in this thread (or another if dedicated “by act” or “by chapter” threads are created. Again this place is more focused on how to play around not having the obvious choices. If a biohazard lane pops up then someone saying “Omega Red” for instance isn’t exactly the insight I’m aiming for.

For me personally when doing act 7 exploration back in the day, a very obvious hole was shown in my roster in that my skill class was underdeveloped. For the majority of content a skill champion is not who I’d use because lol why would I? (Just kidding all my nick fury, aegon fans don’t attack haha).

This culminated in an issue in one particular path which is found in the tantrum path of 7.4.2. By listing the specific debuffs needed (enverate, taunt, and disorient) to get rid of the charges I got tunnel vision on who I could use. While gwenpool, fury sparky etc are great for it the character I ended up pushing through with was actually Guillotine 2099. The important change in mindset that I had was that I realized that, so long as I didnt knock the champion over, my damage would be lower thanks to the protection, but I could completely ignore the tantrum mechanic. For anyone missing high level skill champions I recommend building a team around high per hit damage. This path was a bit of a slog (no player bonuses just punishment for not having the right debuffs) but in the end completely doable with a different tactic.

What paths have you all encountered and what quirky workarounds did you use?
