Hit-monkey synergy with DPXF bugged?

The synergy states that whenever a bleed fails to apply on the opponent due to an immunity, the opponent takes a burst of instant passive bleed damage. However, when I was using Hit-Monkey with the DPXF synergy active against bleed immunes (colossus, cgr, etc) in Cav EQ 3.1, I noticed the opponents weren't taking any burst damage at all.

It states that "if any bleed fails to apply due to an immunity, deals a burst of instant bleed damage". Meaning that he will deal 1x single "tick" of damage as bleed damage. Similar to Nightcrawler bleeds, they don't work on bleed immune champions
Just imagine the ability said "Hit monkey's crits trigger a passive bleed on the opponent". The type of damage is bleed damage, so it is impossible for a bleed immune champion to suffer this damage.
You're misunderstanding the intention of the synergy. It's not meant to get around bleed immunity, it's meant to get around debuff immunity. Because debuff immune champions are immune to debuffs, so HM cannot apply his bleed debuffs because they are debuffs. Instead, the passive aspect is what's changed, so the passive bleed can trigger on debuff immune
It should also (theoretically) work on someone like Taskmaster once he's debuff immune. Although champions who 'acquire' immunities can be tricky for abilities like this to recognise.
