Event quest mangog

Fighting the mangog boss in the new event quest and I'm only doing 3% special damage with captain America when I have 5 charges and throwing an sp2 which should be doing alot more damage.

Oh that was just after I came out the fight as you can see capt is ko as I took an sp2 to the face after my sp2

I've had issues in the past with Cap on that code... I've stopped using him on it.

this is true, I also used cap iw the first time and the sp2 damage is a joke. so I switched to a mutant team instead, apoc sp1 is enough.

Y’all, as much as I’m sure OP appreciates the suggested alternates for his Cap IW, I think the bigger question is why does his sp2 hit for so little on these nodes? I don’t see an interaction here that would mitigate Cap’s damage to that degree, but I could be missing something.

Might be how CAIW sp2 is coded in the game - might not be the special hits doing the damage but some mechanic after it hits? After the whole neutralise/buff immune coding thingy it's quite possible esp if the power shield node was introduced after CAIW as a champ (can't recall myself when that node first came in the game).

If you want a proper answer though this thread title won't catch the eyes of a mod easily - it doesn't scream "possible bug".

If he's enraged he takes a lot less damage. No clue if that is what is happening without a video.

My R3 CAIW took him from like 80% to KO in one SP2 w/ crit, so not sure why yours did so little dmg
